Congressman Troy Downing is holding a telephone town hall TODAY (November 5th, 2025), at 12:00 PM MT. Downing contends that this is the fifth telephone town hall he has hosted this year.

MONTANA STATE REP. ZOOEY ZEPHYR:
Congratulations to Montana State Representative Zooey Zephyr for being selected by New York Magazine as one of the “25 Young(ish) New Democrats to Watch.”

VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY:
I was sad to hear that former Vice President Dick Cheney passed away. He was 84. I staffed a few events in Montana when Cheney campaigned for Montana candidates. Very nice man.
Cheney was my Secretary of Defense during the last few years that I was in the U.S. Air Force.
I was very proud that Cheney stood up against Donald Trump. As a former Republican, his views kind of validated my views about Trump. I never did vote for Trump.
The Associated Press (AP) reported it this way:
“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who was a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” Cheney said in a television ad for his daughter. “He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He is a coward.”
Those words are still true today! Cheney voted for Kamala Harris instead of Trump.
Rest in peace. My condolences to the Cheney family.

He and the rest of the GOP lied us into the war in Iraq. The blood of every military person killed or maimed there is on his hands. A pox on his memory.
I agree with you that the war in Iraq was promoted on false pretenses.
I have always wondered how far off the rails our system of verification went to allow it to get to a war. Dark times for sure. -JmB
