The Dark Horse Hall is located in the Celtic Cowboy, 116 1st Avenue South in Great Falls.

MONTANA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION:

Lee Newspapers is reporting that the Montana Public Service Commission (PSC) voted Tuesday afternoon to remove its own president in a 3-2 vote. Former President Brad Molnar will remain on the all-Republican five-member Public Service Commission (PSC), but will no longer hold a leadership position.

Lee Newspapers also reports that for the time being, Vice President Jennifer Fielder will take on the duties of the president until the group holds a vote on who will replace Molnar, which is expected to take place Oct. 28.

It was also reported that the contentious meeting included raised voices, numerous interruptions, and personal attacks.

In case you missed it earlier in this post, they are all Republicans.

The Montana PSC has been nothing but a circus, with the five members being the clowns. Montanans are not getting the service out of the PSC that they are entitled to. It’s become a cushy job where the members do very little.

It’s time for the legislature to look for a better system to protect ratepayers.

UPDATE – STILL THERE:

This is an ongoing report about a dead deer on a city street in Great Falls.

On October 14, I wrote about taking my daily walk on October 9 and seeing a dead deer partially on the road within the city limits. I noted the location (23rd St. S. by MSU-GF) and when I arrived home, I called the non-emergency police department number. I gave the officer the location. He told me he would notify Animal Control.

As of 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 21), the deer was still there. Ridiculous.

MISS A DAY – MISS A LOT:

Did you miss me? If you did, thank you!

I failed to post a column for Tuesday (Oct. 21). I was a little under the weather after undergoing cataract surgery Monday afternoon. I felt good, but my eyesight was a little out of whack for a few hours.

I had the procedure done in Great Falls at the Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute (Website). Everyone was wonderful, and I highly recommend them. The surgery was pain-free. I received an injection in the eye, which sounds worse than it really is. The best way to describe my vision in the eye after surgery is “vivid.” It’s an incredible difference!

My other eye is not too bad, so it will be a while before I have it done.

I feel like I am getting to be like an old car that needs a lot of maintenance.

ONE MORE THING:

Have you heard about McDonald’s new presidential value meal? You order whatever you want, and the person after you has to pay for it. (Source

  1. The Sanitation Department would be the one responsible for the deer unless it’s on private property. I’d think they’d check it for Chronic Wasting Disease. I doubt your concern was passed on.

    • Thanks. I was told they would notify the people to have it taken care of. I called the non-emergency number per the city website instructions. Pretty weak if nothing was passed on. It was on the road and head was on the curb. I’m glad it’s not too warm out! -JmB
