BIG SKY 55+ ENDORSEMENTS:
In case you missed it, Big Sky 55+ has made some endorsements in the Great Falls municipal election. Big Sky 55+ is an organization of Montanans 55 and over bringing people together to work for solutions that make life better for Montanans of all ages. Check out their website HERE.
Here are the endorsements for Great Falls:
- Jasmine Taylor for Mayor
- Casey Schreiner for City Commission
- Matt Pipinich for City Commission
The good thing about the people endorsed for Great Falls is that none of them have voted to raise my taxes, fees, or rates.
Big Sky 55+ also made endorsements for the municipal elections in Billings, Kalispell, and Whitefish. They made endorsements in the school levies for Helena. Check out these endorsements HERE.
GREAT FALLS FEASIBILITY STUDY:
The Electric reported last week that Great Falls City Commissioners approved a $96,447 agreement for a facilities utilization and feasibility study during their Sept. 2 meeting. The Electric says the public facilities to be reviewed include the Mansfield Convention Center, Mansfield Theater, city commission chambers, the former Children’s Museum building and other public meeting and event spaces.
The story was posted on The Electric’s Facebook page and the comments were pretty negative toward the city spending the $96,447.
You can check out the comments and the story HERE.
Great Falls residents should elect people who won’t spend our taxes frivolously and then increase our taxes, fees, and rates so they can spend even more.
JEOPARDY’S NEW SEASON:
Just a reminder for my fellow Jeopardy fans, the new season BEGINS TONIGHT (Monday)!
Check out the website to see where Jeopardy is televised in your area.
YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO:
I get alerts on my phone about almost everything happening in the world. Saturday evening, I received several alerts about Dodgers Pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto being close to pitching a no-hitter against Baltimore.
So I followed the game, and Yamamoto came within one out of the no-hitter. The first hit he gave up was a home run. Ouch! Then Baltimore put three more runs on the board and ended up winning the game, 4-3. Heartbreaker. (Source)
During all this action, the Helena Independent Record (IR) sent me a “Trending Now From the Independent Record” with this headline:

The IR may feel as bad about the incorrect headline as Yamamoto does about losing the no-hitter with two outs in the ninth inning. Maybe not.
ONE MORE THING:
Just remember that no matter what’s going on in your life, there’s some form of potato that can make it better.
## HAVE A GREAT WEEK ##

Used your provided link to investigate the Billings city candidates. As what I expected none of 55+ plus picks would include their party affiliation.
Which to me means they’re all Dems.
The Great Falls municipal election is non-partisan. I don’t know about Billings. -JmB
