I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. Welcome back!
Here are the topics for today’s column:
- Great Falls Public Library
- The Tryon Tantrum
- The Wilderness Society
- Hunter Biden Pardoned
- Trump’s Thanksgiving Message
GREAT FALLS PUBLIC LIBRARY:
In case you missed it, The Electric reported last Wednesday that the Great Falls Public Library board voted unanimously during their Nov. 26 meeting to approve a new management agreement with the City of Great Falls that maintains the existing seven mills in the current budget and reduces general fund support by half over the next four years.
It was also reported in the article that the reduction of 3.5 mills equates to about $420,000, using current fiscal numbers, according to the library.
I am unhappy with the Great Falls City Commission for taking these mills from the public library. Neither the commissioners nor the mayor will get my vote when/if they run for reelection. I won’t support a public safety levy either, and I will urge others to vote against it.
Read the complete and comprehensive article from The Electric HERE.
THE TRYON TANTRUM:
Over on the “What the Funk” Facebook page, Jasmine has put together a TikTok video of Great Falls City Commissioner Rick Tryon complaining about the treatment he received over the library issue. He spent a great deal of time whining about emails he received. He acted like a crybaby.
Check out the video HERE. The “What the Funk” Facebook page can be found HERE.
THE WILDERNESS SOCIETY:
The Associated Press (AP reported last week that U.S. Bureau of Land Management Director Tracy Stone-Manning will become president of The Wilderness Society effective next February, the Washington, D.C.-based group announced.
This information sent some of the MAGAs on social media into a fit.
Supposedly the MAGAs think they received a “mandate” (I don’t), but they are still angry and calling people names and attacking people who don’t hold their views.
All Stone-Manning did was get another job because she will be unemployed in January. Good for her! The Wilderness Society is lucky to have her.
HUNTER BIDEN PARDONED:
Last Tuesday I wrote my thoughts about Hunter Biden being pardoned or having his sentence commuted by his father, President Joe Biden. I studied the case extensively and read articles that came from the right and the left.
After all that, I said that a commutation or pardon would be the right thing to do.
Yesterday President Biden announced that he pardoned Hunter Biden. In his statement, the President, in part, stated:
No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son – and that is wrong. There has been an effort to break Hunter – who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.
I support this pardon completely.
TRUMP’S THANKSGIVING MESSAGE:
Here is former President Trump’s Thanksgiving Day message via X:
Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American! (Source)
Donald Trump is still an ass!
## HAVE A GREAT WEEK ##

For those hurling foul insults at President Biden on pardoning his son for the crimes he openly acknowledged and pleaded guilty to, just take a quick look at the scum trumpsky pardoned at the end of his first term. Take another quick look at the scum he now promises he will pardon in his 2d term. And most revealingly………take a quick look at the millions of dollars in bribes and “contributions” trumpsky and his cronies raked in selling that first round of “get out of jail free” cards, along with the further millions you KNOW will come next.
Trump’s second term will be scary. Nothing to stop him. -JmB
Gonna miss this guy big time. One of the last real people in the senate. Hard to beat outta state billionaires with unlimited budgets.

Wow. Like the old saying goes, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and a little bit of power makes one look the fool! Poor little south sider Rick is the Rodney Dangerfield of the commission. He don’t get no respect. That hard bitten rough exterior is all for show. He picked a fight with the most inoffensive group in town, the the library gang, and got his dairy air publicly whooped and humiliated. In fact, they “bombed” him, or so he says. That just ain’t fair, for that violates the south side gang rules of street fighting that Ricky is so familiar with. And that infuriates him.
But instead of slinking off in shame to hide the fact that he’s been found out to not be as tough as his public persona suggests, he whines about his defeat as a badge of honor. Bad MAGA. He makes the MAGA crusade look weak. As Wm. Wallace said in Braveheart, men follow courage. If he ever wants the hoi polloi to follow him into battle against the forces evil librarians, he needs to dig deep into his MAGA soul and commit to stop being a public wimp! Suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous stickers and e-mails and name calling should be the least of a true warrior’s worries. I’m afraid the only movie Rick will be featured in is Chickenheart!
A least he isn’t making Hunter our ambassador to France.
Good point! -JmB
Thanks for the reminder.
Where was all that Republican and MAGA panties-in-a-wad outrage on the day Tubby Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law?
