SHEEHY – “LITTLE BLACK GIRLS”

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy is embarrassing Montana just about every day. He should have dropped out when he lied about the gunshot wound, or the plagiarism, or many other issues, but he hasn’t.

Now, there is a new embarrassing issue that has made national news. According to the Daily Montanan, Sheehy talked about the U.S. Department of Education and wants to abolish it to save money—by “throwing it in the trash can.” Then, in Billings, Sheehy shared part of his rationale for axing the Department of Education: “We formed that department so little Black girls could go to school down south, and we could have integrated schooling. We don’t need that anymore.”

Of course, when the Daily Montanan wanted to clarify Sheehy’s statements and ask questions, the same old, “Sheehy’s campaign did not respond to an interview request to discuss his plan for public education” that we seem to always hear was relayed by his press department.  They must be getting tired of him being afraid of interviews.

For all the talk of Sheehy being a hero, he has painted himself as a coward during this campaign.

FUNDRAISING THOUGHTS:

Lee Newspapers did a story about the latest fundraising from U.S. Senator Jon Tester and his challenger, Tim Sheehy.

I found this part interesting: “…most of the campaign’s money raised this quarter, about $30.1 million, came from individual donors. According to the Tester campaign, Montanans account for over 23,300 donations.”

Did you catch the part about “individual donors?” That’s not what Sheehy and Sheehy’s supporters say.

It was also reported that no Senate candidate nationwide raised more than the Tester campaign this past quarter.

As for Sheehy, it was reported that In this last quarter, the Sheehy campaign raised $9.7 million, bringing their campaign total to $23.4 million. With under three weeks until Election Day, the campaign has $4 million on hand.

I expect Sheehy to lend his campaign more money. He already donated $2.45 million of his own money to his campaign.

GIANFORTE/BUSSE DEBATE:

The Montana gubernatorial debate finally happened. From what I watched and heard, I now understand why Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte did not want to debate – he’s terrible at it. Ryan Busse came across well and was knowledgeable.

I heard that Gianforte has a large lead in the polls, so this may help Busse close the gap.

The Montana Free Press (MTFP) reported that Gianforte and Democratic challenger Ryan Busse met in Missoula Wednesday for a one-hour debate, the only forum the two major-party gubernatorial candidates have agreed to share before the Nov. 5 election. The debate, hosted by regional news network NonStop Local, was livestreamed on the outlet’s website and is scheduled to broadcast Thursday on Montana PBS at 7 p.m. and Sunday on NonStop Local at 9 a.m.

Check out a report on the debate from MTFP HERE. HERE is a recap from NonStop Local.

HARRIS ON FOX NEWS:

Although Donald Trump was a chickenshit for not interviewing with 60 Minutes, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on Fox News which any reasonable person knows is an arm of the Trump campaign.

One article had this headline:

Kamala Harris Fights To Get A Word In During Inimical Inaugural Fox News Interview

That is a very true headline. Fox News’s Bret Baier was a total ass, interrupting her and talking over her. He even tried to sneak in a clip that did not show Trump talking about the “enemy within” in which he threatens political opponents he feels are the enemy. She did not let it slip by.

Overall, Harris went into a hostile environment and came out with a win. Bair did not look good throughout the debate.
