SHEEHY CRASH – SETTLEMENT PENDING:

The Daily Montanan reported that a Florida lawsuit against Montana’s Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy that alleged his negligence caused the plane he was training in to crash into a home, was dismissed earlier this month following a notice of settlement. The 2019 crash killed his instructor and injured one of the residents.

The Daily Montanan also reported that it remains unclear whether Sheehy was party to the likely settlement, as neither his campaign nor nearly all the attorneys involved in the case responded to questions.

Sheehy seems only to do interviews with friends and supporters. I can understand why he is afraid as there are so many scandals in his background that the questions about them could go on and on for hours.

Check out the very well-written article from the Daily Montanan HERE

NATIONAL SHOOTING SPORTS FOUNDATION:

Politico recently reported that the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the Firearm Industry Trade Association, released its latest scorecard rating for members of Congress on their support for gun rights. The report is set to be released Thursday and was first shared with Inside Congress.

One part was interesting to me:

As you might imagine, many sitting Democrats got “D” and “F” ratings while Republicans mostly got “A” and “B” scores, with 29 GOP senators and 122 House Republicans receiving “A+” ratings. While many in the GOP will be excited to tout their high marks, expect Democrats to be equally pleased to argue they are holding the gun industry to account.

In one noteworthy change, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) — who is in a tough re-election race — saw his rating drop from a “B+” to an “F” this term.

Tester received an “F” from the NRA. too.

Most of these “scorecards” are pure BS. They are political. Tester may not be an “A” with the group, but he is certainly not an “F.”

U.S. SENATE DEBATE:

MSU News Service has announced that Montana PBS will host a debate with Montana U.S. Senate candidates Jon Tester and Tim Sheehy at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.

The one-hour debate will take place live from a Montana PBS studio on the University of Montana campus in Missoula. It will feature incumbent U.S. Sen. Tester, a Democrat, and Sheehy, the Republican challenger, debating issues and answering questions from Montana PBS journalists John Twiggs and Anna Rau. There will not be a live audience in the studio during the debate.

  1. Tester deserves his “F”.

Years ago when the NRA called begging me for money I told them I would mail them one dime until you give Tester a failing grade on their scorecard.

All my friends and hunting buds agreed and responded to fundraising calls in the same manner.

Our gun rights won’t be taken away by Jon’s vote on legislation. Jon has consistently voted for gun grabbing federal judges and anti-second amendment supreme court justices, the real enemy of our rights.

    • I think groups like the NRA are what’s wrong with politics these days. I’ve owned guns all my life and never felt I needed to give $ to any group to keep them. These groups scare members into giving money because candidate XX is going to take your guns. I’ve never had my guns taken although I was told Clinton, Obama, Biden, and now Harris will take them. How gullible can people be?

  2. I have only one question for the debate. I’d ask Maga Tim how he plans to aid his cult leader achieve the goals he specified in his latest speech.

“You will no longer be abandoned or scared, you won’t be in danger any longer,” Trump said, echoing statements he made on Truth Social. “You will no longer have anxiety from all of the problems our country has today. You will be protected and I will be your protector. You will be happy, healthy, confident and free. You will no longer be thinking about abortion.”

‘Bout the creepiest thing I’ve ever heard a politician say. Is he channeling the late great Hannibal Lecter? Or maybe his good buddy Epstein?

    • Pretty sure the only one of cult leader Tubby Trump’s Leader’s goals that Lyin’ Timmy is truly dedicated to supporting is another big tax cut for the ultra-rich like them. And damn the deficit.
