POW/MIA RECOGNITION DAY:

Today (Sept. 20) is POW/MIA Recognition Day. It is the day we honor those who were prisoners of war (POW) and those who are still missing in action (MIA). Please take a moment today to remember their sacrifices. 

According to the Department of Defense, nearly 82,000 service members and civilians remain unaccounted for from conflicts dating back to World War II. (Source)

SHEEHY ROBOCALL: 

Yesterday I received a robocall from U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy. He left me a message and my iPhone transcribed it. Here is part of it:

Sheehy seems to want “cheap ass” or “cheap ass good schools” according to the transcription.  He says the robocall was “paid for by the Montana Republican State Central Committee.” The number for the robocall was 406-748-1656.

His call did not change my vote, but it did make me laugh. 

POLLING/FLIERS:

I took part in three polls this week. They were via text message. None of the three were “push polls” so I hope the results are released to the public. 

They asked questions about the U.S. Senate race and the Presidential race. 

I also received a bunch of campaign fliers this week. One day I think I received five fliers in the mail. Some of them are worth taking a photo of and posting on X.

Things are heating up and it’s getting nasty out there.

  1. Those who believe Tubby will “run America like a business” might want to take a look at how his own business Trump Media the owner of “Truth” Social is faring. While the overall S&P has grown 7% since early this year, this DJT turkey of a stock has lost 75% of its value. Which is no doubt painfully obvious to the dopes who own the stock and saw it just close at $13.5 continuing its yearlong spiral. That businessman is the one to make this country “great”, for sure.

    • Would be great if that writer’s imagined future came to pass, but we shall see. Still a long way from now until election day.

    • I remember when John Walsh was accused of plagiarism- he dropped out of the senate race. If Sheehy had any integrity, he would drop out. – JmB

  7. A couple things … Your Tuesday post about Sheehy’s PERC problem hasn’t attracted any attention in Montana media, but it led to this cartoon: https://mooreonmontana.com/2024/09/19/the-tacit-lie/ Thanks for the lead.

    Regarding campaign mailers, I received one from the ‘Montana Republican State Central Committee’ about ‘Liberal Trial Lawyer Jeremiah Lynch,’ who’s running for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

    Oddly, the only photos showed Harris, Walz, and Lynch. And the only logos were the VIce President’s seal and one that said “Vote for Judge Jerry Lynch.” Very mixed messaging.

      I didn’t notice that about the mailer so I dug it out of the trash and took another look. It really does send mixed signals.
