TRUMP RALLY SHOOTING:
Here are some personal observations about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
It made me sick to my stomach when I watched the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. I don’t like the guy and I’ve never voted for him. I won’t be voting for him in the future, but I don’t want him dead. As the saying goes, I want to beat him with ballots not bullets, or by voting and not violence.
I was not that surprised that it happened, because our country has gone deeper and deeper into the abyss when it comes to violence in our politics. Now several families are suffering because of this senseless act.
Soon after the shooting, the idiots were out on social media with some claiming it was a conspiracy and others posting about the shooter “missing” Trump. Trump supporters were mad that the press was not coming right out and saying it was an assassination attempt. Trump supporters were digging up past comments from Democrats that they say could have caused the shooting.
The information that comes out quickly after an event like this is almost always partly or completely incorrect.
I posted several stories on my social media accounts, mostly from the Associated Press and Reuters.
So now we have President Joe Biden take to the airwaves about the shooting and Trump took to social media. Reuters reported on Sunday that both Biden and Trump sought calm and unity.
It would be great if they would do something together – like a commercial calling for calm and unity.
One of the better social media posts asked, “Don’t you wish people cared this much when a 3rd grade classroom was getting shot up?”
So now we have the Republican National Convention this week. You can bet the shooting will be the topic of the week.
There will be investigations to piece together the puzzle. Just about all of my questions about the shooting have been answered, except one: What was the deal with Trump’s shoes?
RAISING PROPERTY TAXES:
It looks like this week the city of Great Falls will vote to raise our property taxes.
Lord help us. According to The Electric:
City Commissioners are scheduled to conduct a public hearing on July 16 on their intent to raise property taxes.
Commissioners and city staff have been discussing the proposed budget since May during their work sessions.
Commissioners will also be asked to adopt the budget on Tuesday.
The Electric reports about the increase:
If approved, the tax increase would have the following impact on homeowners:
- $5.76 increase per $100,000 taxable value for inflationary increase
- $3.25 increase per $100,000 for permissive medical levy
- $9.01 total increase per $100,000 taxable value total
The total impact for a $200,000 home would be $18.02; for a $300,000 home, it would be $27.03 and for a $600,000 home, it would be $54.06.
I guess that is per year? Does anyone know?
Nonetheless, I am betting it will pass, probably unanimously.

ONE MORE THING:
The Major League Baseball All-Star break is upon us. The Home Run contest is tonight (Monday) on ESPN and the All-Star game is Tuesday on FOX.
Life goes on…

Could it possibly get any better for Trump! His lacky Judge Cannon just dismissed the classified documents case in Florida. This certainly guarantees her a seat on Supreme Court when Trump wins in November. I thought was a 50-50 chance but the debate and attempted Trump assassination Saturday with iconic photo raised Trump’s odds of winning to 90%. The Democrat party just didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Can we survive another 4 years of Trump? Very doubtful!
I saw that the judge dismissed it. I think it can be appealed. I think it all depends on how Trump handles his current situation in regard to his election. -JmB
Jack Smith has a poor score on appeals.
Had a conversation with my sister this morning and she said she probably wouldn’t be my friend, if not my sister. Nor would my two living brothers. I do not really try to have political conversations with her. She took offense at me hinting that I have paid more attention to politics since the 70s. We had our one & only angry conversation about her vote for Nixon. I was in college then. We both changed. She married an opinionated idiot. I married a Reagan fanatic. As Hilary said, husbands tell their wives who to vote for.
I have some family members with whom i don’t talk politics. In fact we don’t talk much at all! They unfriended me several years ago.
As for Nixon, I remember making a sign saying “Nixon is the one!” I placed it in the corner of the windshield, and we had a terrible wreck a few minutes later! Interesting history. Thanks for sharing! – JmB
Trump shooting obviously a false flag operation to re-focus media attention back on Trump. Biden was too much in the news. Or so I have read. Why not? Everything else is a false flag operation, according to the according to the scholars of the Internet.
Property tax increase. Per year. Just for the main Great Falls portion of your taxes. All the other taxing bodies will likely hike theirs as well.
And as if that isn’t enough, our city commissioners are also set to raise tax assessments on us for streets, and trees in boulevard district if you live there, as well as set the assessments for lighting, parks, and the Portage Meadows area. Those could go up too.
On top of all the water and sewer and garbage and etc. fee increases we got earlier this year.

Thanks Terry. Looks like they are going to hit us with higher taxes/fees on about everything. -JmB
I can understand the need to raise taxes and fees just to keep up with inflation, but they keep raising some of these things 10% a year every year. For instance the streets:
“City staff are proposing a 10 percent increase in the next budget.
The assessment was increased by 10 percent last year.”
That’s not keeping up with inflation, that IS the inflation.
It might be an interesting exercise to go back through all the city tax hikes and fee hikes of the past five years and tally up just how many tax and fee increases, and the total yearly $ burden, that the alleged “fiscally conservative” commissioner Rick T has piled on us over the years.
They just bought 3 new garbage trucks for a bit over-a million, during better times I remember they were going to send a used one over 6000 miles to Naryn. Freight must have been too much they sold it and sent the money instead.
They seem to always find the funds they need. -JmB
Nailed it Terry. False flag all the way. Filmed on the same production lot that faked the moon landing.
Thanks Swede. Knew you could appreciate anything “false flag”.
Agree. Maybe false flag that went awry. Sumthin’ real strange about this one. I still think the big boys wanted trump gone so they can elevate their real dictator choice, the eager crazy pants Vance! Trump knows the rules. If you don’t play ball with the mob, you gotta go. And the shooter being Jewish and trump being too soft on Hamas, Mossad sprang into action again. Just watch. It’s their modis operandi when AIPAC isn’t enough.
So now that they failed, Vance will be the power behind the throne.
When the SS tackled him he was knocked out of his shoes. I’m sure he wanted them back on to walk across hot asphalt.
Thanks.
I’ll give Trumps’ family all the support and sympathy they gave the Pelosi family.
Or John McCain. I don’t like felons who get shot!
Gotta wonder about the egregious lack of security though. Maybe Don the con got too big for his britches and Leonard Leo and Koch decided to replace him with Vance their own way! The family takes care of their own businesses. And they really, really want crazy pants Vance as their man. He’s young, and corrupt and venal as Don the con. And Don’s so demented he’s becoming a liability.
I’m thinking JD is the Spiro Agnew guy. Trump can appear “presidential.”
Seems JD was not always a Trumper:
