TIM SHEEHY IS TOAST:
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Brad Johnson is probably smoking a fine cigar this week as his biggest opponent in the Republican Primary, Tim Sheehy, is almost toast.
Incumbent U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) has found time to do eclipses. (Source)
Meanwhile, the members of the campaign team for Republican Tim Sheehy are probably wishing they had picked another candidate to work for as Sheehy is fading fast. I hope they ask to be paid in cash from here on out…
The Montana Free Press (MTFP) is reporting that U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy’s company reported losses of more than $77 million in 2023. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing shows Sheehy’s Bridger Aerospace is deeply in the red.
It was also reported that Bridger is deeply in debt, hemorrhaging cash, and at risk of failing to meet its financial obligations in the coming year.
The MTFP also reported, “The Company has suffered recurring losses from operations, operating cash flow deficits, debt covenant violations, and insufficient liquidity to fund its operations that raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern,” Bridger’s auditor said in a note to stockholders and the board of directors.
Or, as University of Montana accounting professor Terri Herron put it in an interview with Montana Free Press: “Management concluded that they may not be around in a year.”
The bad news keeps piling up for Sheehy. Montanans were stunned when the Washington Post reported last weekend about his gunshot wound.
I don’t know who is dumber; Steve Daines for not vetting Sheehy better or Sheehy for thinking all his problems would never make the front page.
The advisors closest to Sheehy need to have a heart-to-heart talk with him and convince him to quit his U.S. Senate bid.

DOWN ON DOWNING:
I received a text message early Tuesday evening with the following message:
“LIAR, IDIOT, UNELECTABLE”
That’s what Never Trumper Troy Downing had to say about President Trump. Never Trumper Troy even wants amnesty for illegals! We can’t trust him. Listen to Never Trumper Troy Downing in his own words: Stop to Unsubscribe
There was a short video that contained almost the same message. At the end, the video had a disclaimer notice with the line, “Paid for By Elsie Arntzen for Congress”
The message came from 406-813-1942.
The Republicans running in the eastern district (MT-02) primary may implode before the June 6 primary.
JENNIFER & JAMES CRUMBLEY:
The Associated Press (AP) is reporting that Jennifer and James Crumbley are the first parents convicted in a U.S. mass school shooting and were sentenced to at least 10 years in prison Tuesday. Oakland County Judge Cheryl Matthews lamented missed opportunities that could have prevented their teenage son from possessing a gun and killing four students in 2021.
I believe this is an appropriate sentence. I hope this sentence makes parents take notice and prevents their child from killing.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL WRAP:
In the men’s NCAA basketball tournament, I finished my ESPN bracket with 1220 points. My percentage was 93% and my final ranking was 1.8 million. I picked UConn to win.
In the women’s NCAA basketball tournament, I finished my ESPN bracket with 1600 points. My percentage was 96.1% and my final ranking was 143,000. I picked Iowa to win.
Reminder – there were 22.6 million brackets completed for the tournament through ESPN.
The Associated Press (AP) reported that the women’s NCAA championship game drew a bigger television audience than the men’s title game for the first time, with an average of 18.9 million viewers watching undefeated South Carolina beat Iowa and superstar Caitlin Clark, according to ratings released Tuesday. The Sunday afternoon game on ABC and ESPN outdrew Monday’s men’s final between UConn and Purdue by four million. The Huskies’ 75-60 victory averaged 14.82 million on TBS and TNT.
So now we wait for the NBA playoffs, the WNBA draft, the NFL draft, plus we’ll have some track and field competition. The summer Olympics start in July!

Our very own Shady Sheehy is the talk of the town, and some of that talk is downright hilariousl. I read every news story I could find about the great parking lot caper, but I’ll be darned if I could figure out what Tim was saying! Turns out that I’m not alone. It’s become a veritable newspaper puzzle! Connect the dots, rearrange the dates and locations, align the wounds with the events, and find out what really happened, and submit your guess! First one done is the winner!
Meanwhile, Sheehy’s changed account of events left some on X, formerly Twitter, with questions.
Conservative lawyer George Conway wrote on X, “Let those among you who have not lied about lying about shooting yourselves in the arm in a national park in order to cover up not faking a combat wound—or something like that, I can’t quite figure it out—cast the first stone.”
X user and author D. Earl Stephens wrote, “So the dude doesn’t know where he is getting shot, who’s doing it, or if he’s even getting shot at all. If this is confusing you it should, because apparently that’s how this SOB wants it. Basically we know this: He’s completely full of s***, and his story will probably change again by tomorrow. I’m not kidding you, every damn Republican who runs for anything in this country is a damn liar.”
Former Montana legislator and candidate for Congress Tom Winter wrote on X, “So has Tim Sheehy admitted that (in that particular tourist-in-Montana way, you know the ones) he had an unsecured, loaded gun just rolling around the back of the family car on a road trip through Glacier Park ‘because of the bears’? What other dumb**** reason could there be?”
In the statement emailed to Newsweek, Sheehy’s spokesperson added: “To witness the media in cahoots with Jon Tester and his allies attempting to tear down a combat veteran’s record is appalling, and they should be ashamed of themselves. It shows just how desperate they are to win this U.S. Senate race. Jon Tester doesn’t care about veterans and their sacrifices; he only cares about another term in office.”
