DAY OF GIVING 3/27:

Hoping to raise a record-breaking amount for charity this March, Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, asks customers to eat a sub and help a local cause.

To celebrate the company’s 14th Annual Month of Giving fundraising campaign, Jersey Mike’s locations across the country are joining forces with more than 200 local charities.

During March, customers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order. Charities include hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more.

The campaign culminates with the nationwide event, Day of Giving, on Wednesday, March 27, when local Jersey Mike’s owners and operators will donate their resources and every single dollar that comes in to local charities.

U.S. SENATOR LISA MURKOWSKI:

Reuters is reporting that U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) said she cannot back her party’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump, and did not rule out becoming an independent.

“I wish that as Republicans, we had … a nominee that I could get behind,” Murkowski told CNN. “I certainly can’t get behind Donald Trump.”

Asked if she would become an independent, Murkowski said: “Oh, I think I’m very independent minded. … I just regret that our party is seemingly becoming a party of Donald Trump.”

There are many Republicans who have regrets about Donald Trump and the MAGAs taking over the Republican party.
