Hello friends! Today is Wednesday, September 6, 2023, and here are the topics that I am providing commentary about today:
- MT AG Austin Knudsen
- Daines Townhall
- I was Polled!
- Hey, 2023-24 Candidates
MT AG AUSTIN KNUDSEN:
There’s been big news coming out of Helena in the last 24 hours. Lee Newspapers is reporting that Montana’s special counsel (Timothy Strauch) for the state agency charged with disciplining lawyers on Tuesday filed 41 counts of alleged professional misconduct against Republican Attorney General Austin Knudsen.
According to Lee Newspapers, at its core, the complaint alleges Knudsen violated the Montana Rules of Professional Conduct intended to preserve public confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the state’s judicial system.
It was also reported that a spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office denounced the allegations as “meritless” and pointed to Strauch’s past donations to Democratic candidates’ campaigns in alleging him to be a “long-time Democrat activist.”
I’ve been around for a while and I don’t remember if an attorney general in Montana has ever been officially accused of violating the rules of professional conduct. Knudsen should take these allegations seriously.
You can read the report from Lee Newspapers HERE. The Montana Free Press has the story HERE.
DAINES TOWNHALL:
I received a text message from U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) inviting me to take part in a “live, statewide townhall” for an update on what he is working on in the Senate and to hear about the upcoming Farm Bill.
The townhall is scheduled for Wednesday (today) at 6:30 p.m. Montana time. Daines said he would call me or that I could join by calling 877-558-4286. He also said I could ask questions.
I doubt that I will take part, but I appreciate the invitation. While the Farm Bill is very important to Montana, it’s sad that Montana does not have any House or Senate members on the Agriculture committees to ensure Montana’s farmers/ranchers have a voice at the table.
I WAS POLLED!
I participated in a poll last night by Hart Research Associates, which is a national public opinion polling firm. The request was sent via text message.
It was a very extensive poll that asked questions about the Presidential election, former President Trump’s legal troubles, and the U.S. Senate race in Montana. There were even a few questions that asked for an essay-type response!
I enjoy answering the questions and providing my opinion.

Nice. Very nice. Thanks, JmB
Go ahead. Make my day, punks!, says the young brash, arrogant lawyer full of hubris and fresh outta law school from East Overshoe, Montana to the entire entrenched legal establishment. Well, guess what. They made his day! What a cheerful bit of news to start the morning with, a big mouthed MAGA with a trumpian ego finally realizes that one MAGA does NOT equal seven justices. The unreality of his claims do indeed make a mockery of the entire legal system. And for the benefit of all, they had no choice to put him in his place and send a message to all his MAGA brethren. Stop all the MAGA games! Enough with the ridiculous bills that are blatantly unconstitutional. It gets old. This is still Montana and you just might get punched back if you start a fight! Methinks Knudey should have spent more time in bars during his youth instead of church. He might have learned this lesson long ago instead of looking like a fool now.
Now, maybe the MAGAs will think twice before trying to turn Montana into the white Christian homeland of their dreams. Although I seriously doubt it.
Hart Research is Tester’s pollster FYI.
Also, Daines only takes pre-approved softballs on those “town halls” and they kick people out who try and ask real questions.
Thanks!
