GIANFORTE’S CHEAP DATE:
MTN News is reporting that Republican Congressman Greg Gianforte has poured another $4 million of his own money into his campaign for Montana governor, increasing his personal stake in the race to $7.57 million.
By the way, the Governor of Montana makes $118,397 per year.
In total, Gianforte has loaned his campaign more than he has raised from donors. That’s very telling.
I wonder if millionaires like Greg Gianforte and U.S. House candidate Matt Rosendale picked Montana for their homes because Montana is a cheap date. By that, I mean they can purchase the office they want with their millions.
Lee Newspapers is reporting that an anti-marijuana group on Tuesday asked the Montana Supreme Court to throw out the ballot initiative to legalize, regulate and tax cannabis, hoping justices will find the included descriptions of new tax revenue streams unconstitutional.
What a downer.
I fully support CI-118 and I-190. I have been a supporter of legalizing recreational marijuana for well over a decade.
Please vote YES on CI-118 and I-190.
All through history we have seen dictators have opponents arrested and/or killed to protect themselves.
President Donald Trump is trying to do this in the United States of America.
On Tuesday while doing an interview on Fox & Friends, The Hill reported that President Trump called on Attorney General William Barr to investigate the son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Trump said, “We have got to get the attorney general to act. He’s got to act and he’s got to act fast.”
The Attorney General (AG) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) must be independent of the White House and not be the President’s personal lawyer. In short, the AG and the DOJ can’t go out and investigate people or arrest people just because the person is beating the President in the polls, and the President wants them gone.
The AG must tell the President, “Hell no!”
If there are any Republicans left with common sense, they should come forward and reprimand the President for saying these things. This is very dangerous territory.
Trump is a desperate man.
