The Associated Press (AP) said President Trump “staged a dramatic return to the White House” on Monday after spending a few days being treated for the coronavirus.
The AP reported that Trump, landing at the White House on Marine One, gingerly climbed the South Portico steps, removed his mask and declared, “I feel good.” He gave a double thumbs-up to the departing helicopter from the portico terrace, where aides had arranged American flags for the sunset occasion.
I had predicted to a few close friends that Trump would not see the White House again. I figured with his advanced age, obesity, and previous health problems he would be sick for months.
Earlier in the day, his medical team held a press conference. After watching a couple of press briefings from Trump’s medical team, I think they mirror something we would hear from the medical team of Kim Jong-un. They were that bad.
His doctors say that Trump is not out of the woods and won’t be for another week. Several people in his circle tested positive, and I think there’s more to come.
The AP also said that Trump posted another video:
“Don’t be afraid of it,” Trump said of the virus. “You’re going to beat it. We have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines.” His remarks were strong, but he was taking deeper breaths than usual as he delivered them.
That statement is false. Why?
Trump has “the best medical equipment.” Trump “has the best medicines.” Trump also has a freaking helicopter at his disposal to fly him to the hospital.
Many hoped, I included, that after catching the virus Trump would encourage people to wear masks and practice social distancing, but instead, he tweeted, “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.”
He might as well said, “Drink the Kool-Aid.”
As I normally do this time of year, I wanted to update readers about how much campaign literature I have received in the U.S. mail, or that was left on my front door.
So far, I have received about 56 pieces of campaign literature. Last week I had received 38 pieces.
There are just about 28 days left until Election Day! Make sure you are registered to vote!

The vice presidential debate is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 7:00–8:30 pm local time at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Susan Page of USA Today will moderate the vice presidential debate. (Wiki)
ONE MORE THING:
My Kansas City Chiefs beat the New England Patriots 26-10 Monday after the game was delayed from Sunday due to positive Covid-19 tests for some players. The Chiefs are 4-0. The Patriots are 2-2.
According to ESPN, the Chiefs are the first team in NFL history to start four straight seasons 4-0 or better. They’ve had a winning streak of at least four games in every one of coach Andy Reid’s eight seasons.
