The Sunday Message

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.James 5:16 (NIV)

Many of you have probably heard about Tim Tebow. He was a great college quarterback and he also played several years in the NFL. He is now trying to make it in professional baseball.

Tim Tebow is also a Christian.

I admire Tebow not only for being a great athlete but for his Christianity. It is tough being a sports star in this world and walking the walk and talking the talk of a Christian. We could all use a few more Tim Tebows in this world.

Just the other day after an Arizona Fall League baseball game Tebow was signing autographs when a fan had a seizure and fell to the ground, limp. Tebow stopped what he was doing, placed his hand on the man, and prayed for him. After a few seconds, the man gasped for air and started talking. Tebow talked with him until paramedics came.

ABC 15 in Arizona has the story HERE.

God bless you, Tim Tebow. Thanks for setting a great example for all of us.

  1. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the GOP candidate for president had a temperment more like Tim Tebow? I’m afraid the operable bible verse for the next few weeks is Judges 16:30:
“And Samson said, ‘Let me die with the Philistines!’ And he bent with all his might so that the house fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he killed in his life.”
