You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. –Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
Almost every day you can find a story about a young person somewhere losing their life due to an accident. It happens everywhere and no city or town is immune to the tragedy. I remember when I was younger, friends that I went to school with died in an accident. We were all in shock for days.
There’s just something so very sad about someone dying young. They had their whole life ahead of them. It feels so very wrong. It makes me angry.
It’s okay to be angry – but it’s important that you let God know your feelings so he can help you.
As for the families of those children who die way too young – I can’t even begin to imagine how they feel. All we can do is pray that God helps them during this time. As friends or members of their community, it’s our responsibility to help them and to be there for them.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. – Psalm 34:18 (NLT)
