Happy New Year!

Well, we made it. We made it through another holiday season. Now we face the cold reality of January – a month that seems excessively long. Are you sure there are just 31 days in January?

It’s pretty easy to be lonely and depressed in January. The fun of the holiday season is over. The Christmas decorations are taken down and put away. Friends and family have left. There’s less daylight in January. It is winter. The credit card bills start rolling in. Football season is about over.

But there’s good news! God is still around – and just a prayer away!

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

So hang in there and trust in the Lord – take a few minutes each day to pray and talk to God. You will be amazed!
