I remember saying that pledge every morning when I went to school (with my hand over my heart), but I don’t think I really understood the meaning of the pledge until later in life – maybe it was when I was serving in the military that the meaning of the words in the pledge started to be more significant to me.

We are so blessed to live in the United States of America!
