The great thing about that quote is that we are not alone when something happens to us – good or bad. God is with us always. I seem to pray more to God when the bad things happen to me than I do when the good things happen. Maybe you do that, too.

God wants to have a relationship with you. God is your friend. Imagine if you only talked to one of your best friends when things were going really badly. That wouldn’t be a great friendship, would it?

So next time something goes right, tell God thanks. Tell God thanks for giving you another day, a beautiful sunset, a mountain range, or a sunny and warm day. God handles that.
