Blame

I’ve been a little busy recently, but have been watching the events happening in our country, reading the blogs, but not doing much writing.

It got me thinking; with all that is happening in our country, when will the current President stop blaming the former President for everything?

Three months?

Six months?

One Year?

Two years?

Four years?

Forever?

Although we are 55 days into the current administration, sooner or later the blame game will grow old with the American people. We don’t like whiners. You can’t say, “I inherited XXXX” for very long, one would think.

The Democrats control the White House, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House, so as I have said before, the ball is in their court.

One thing that is cool again is earmarks. It’s hilariously funny to me how a candidate’s views about earmarks changes in a couple of years after they are elected.

But in the end, we, the voters, will decide if we like the new leadership in 2010 and 2012.

  1. Seems to me that a politician would have some idea of what he or she was getting into when they decided to pursue a particular office. After winning the election to office, whining about what a previous office holder did seems a bit like grade school behavior. Ok, so the new prez doesn't like what the old prez did. Probably the old prez didn't much care for what the previous old prez did and so on. I haven't had much trust in our government for decades….they are all corrupt to some degree, deficient in one way or another, so NEW PREZ & all others whining about what you inheirited….shut the heck up & do something constructive about trying to fix the problem. We're beginning to think it's all smoke and mirrors; usually the people who complain "it's not my fault" the loudest and longest do so because they are trying to cover up the fact they don't know what the dickens to do about the problem. And remember that eventually (unless you get crowned King or Czar or Dictator) you will become the old prez & the new prez will probably whine about something you have left him or her to deal with.
