I want to see the United States do well. I am very proud of my country. Yes, I want to see President-elect Barack Obama do well, just as I wanted to see George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, etc., do well as our leaders.
Tough times are here. We may look back on this time the way our parents and grandparents look back on the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Part of the plan being put forth in the new congress is to spend our way out of it. Stimulate the economy. Stimulate – the “S” word that we will be hearing more and more of in the future.
I don’t think it will work, but I am not an economist or an accountant or anything close to that and I don’t even play one on TV, but I am a taxpayer.
So, when I read comments that $825 BILLION may not be enough to help with this mess, I cringe at the thought of spending that much money.
After reviewing the proposal one congressman said, “Oh my God!”
Praying to God is probably the best answer in these tough times.
