Anon: In 1995 or 96 the Republicans passed drilling in ANWR. It was vetoed by Clinton. Just this year, Tester and Baucus voted against drilling in ANWR. The fact is that since Democrats have been running Congress, energy prices have skyrocketed, food prices have increased dramatically, airline fares have gone up 200% in some places. Farmer are having a hard time paying for diesel. Now we learn that natural gas prices will go up 50%. It’s on the democrats watch, whether you like it or not. The Democrats need to let there be votes on everything with no smoke and mirrors. HR 6566 covers everything, but the democrats won’t allow an up or down vote on it. Thanks for visiting TWW; I’m glad I could enlighten you.
What’s great about this is that during the 12 years that Republicans controlled Congress, they did SO much to stop this imminent energy crisis train wreck. Hats off to their “leadership.” During those 12 years, how many times did they cancel their recess to deal with a crisis? What is it with the short term memory of GOP bloggers and their political stunt men?
