Don’t Trust Bloggers

At least Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, seems to believe that.

She recently visited Billings, Montana, to campaign for her husband and said:

“The way this campaign has been run is the way we need to be forever,” Obama said. “Don’t trust bloggers or someone else’s opinion, because people lie.”

And I thought bloggers were doing a service! One has to wonder if Ms. Obama’s distrust of bloggers extends to the Obama Blog which is proudly displayed on her husband’s campaign website. It’s someone else’s opinion. They may be lying – “because people lie” at least according to Ms. Obama.

Ms. Obama seems to have a knack for ticking people off. We all remember her saying, “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country.”

I guess this is another difference I have with the Obamas. I am proud of my country – I have been all my life. I try to see people as honest and I trust and take someone else’s opinion as just that – their opinion. Yeah, I blog, too.

Don’t trust bloggers? How about, “Don’t trust politicians.”
