I have commented before about how the Democrats use veterans and the military for political purposes. I’ve seen them play games with veterans’ issues on votes, and we have all noticed how they have played games with our military personnel in recent years.
Those games continue – this time from Max Baucus.
As a veteran, I found an e-mail sent to me late Friday afternoon from the Max Baucus’ campaign in very poor taste. The subject of the e-mail was, “Standing up for Montana’s Vets.”
At first, I thought Baucus was sending everyone a Memorial Day message, reminding his subscribers about those who have given their lives to protect our country. Nope, it was not even close.
Here we are, Memorial Day weekend and Max Baucus is using veterans to try and raise money for his re-election. He can’t even get the reason for Memorial Day correct. He writes:
This Monday, Memorial Day, is a special day of recognition in the United States, as citizens pay tribute to all of the brave men and women who have served our country.
Senator, Memorial Day is a day set aside to honor the brave service of men and women who gave their lives for their country.
Baucus has raised record campaign funds, but he feels he needs more – and is unscrupulously using veterans as a tool:
Max wants to make sure that we take care of the men and women that take care of our Country.
Click here to contribute $25 to Max’s campaign so that he can continue to fight for veterans in Montana and across the United States!
Totally distasteful. Max Baucus has failed veterans in Montana for 30 years.
Max, you are not “Standing up for Montana’s Vets” when you nonchalantly use them as a tool to raise a few dollars for your campaign.
Mr. Baucus, you and the clowns working for you are shameless.
