It looks like the excitement and glee of Barack Obama visiting Montana got the best of the Vice Chair of the Montana Democrats, according to this STORY.

Vice Chair Margarett Campbell is retracting her endorsement of Barack Obama. According to the Associated Press, “Montana Democratic Party rules prevented her from endorsing in a contested primary.”

At least she had her 15 minutes of fame. Her endorsement of Obama made the L.A. Times, the New York Times, as well as many other newspapers and websites.

Now, she is blaming the New York Times saying they “…jumped the gun.”
