I blogged about it way back on the 1st of August that Max Baucus had not been to Iraq and he should have visited there long ago. I’m glad he took my advice; He’s heading there next month.
He told the Associated Press today that he’s going in September and that he and some other senators “will investigate the situation there.” Yep, investigate.
This trip will also fill an important block for his reelection campaign because in Washington, D.C., it’s all about winning the next election. Max willl have some photos or film footage to show, stories to tell and some talking points to use during the debates.
So now that Max is going, when will Tester?
