Are Republicans afraid of a YouTube debate?

Maybe so.

I thought the CNN/YouTube debate between the Democratic Presidential candidates was a lot of fun. CNN still was able to choose what questions were asked, but the ones that were chosen were fine by me. Now it’s been reported that many Republicans Presidential candidates may skip the same type of debate in September.

So far only John McCain and Ron Paul have confirmed their presence on September 17 in Florida.

If they do skip it, the other Republican candidates are missing a good opportunity here. They are way behind on the web as more lefties blog and get involved more than righties. A friend told me that was because righties have jobs, families, etc., and the lefties don’t. I don’t think that is case, I just think the left side has found their niche in politics through the web. The righties need to get involved more in the blogosphere.

If the other Republicans don’t participate in the CNN/YouTube debate the whole party will suffer from the voters, many of them from the all important under age 40 group.
