It looks like actor, senator, lawyer Fred Thompson has shaken up his campaign staff or is it called “the testing the waters staff” by firing (or in milder terms, the resignation of) Tom Collamore.

CNN reported it was because Collamore clashed with Thompson’s wife, Jeri Kehn, who is a political and media consultant.

You never want to clash with a politician’s wife, because she sleeps with him and you don’t. Some folks are saying she just may just take-over “the testing the waters campaign.”

Thompson appears to be the Republican’s “greatest thing since sliced bread” candidate right now, but, this blogger predicts when Thompson finally decides to enter the race; he will start falling in the polls quickly as more is found out about him. He’ll have to live down his roles in “Curly Sue” “Roseanne” and other great works of art. If his wife runs the campaign, look for Fred’s boat to sink like it was hit by a missile from Red October.

Personally, I’d like to see Hillary and Rudy in the finals! Rudy would bring the Republicans back to the middle where they should be and Hillary would bring that no-holds barred type of campaigning that for which her husband was known. Maybe she’ll bring James Carville on board and he can throw out some Carville-isms like, “When your opponent is drowning, throw the son of a bitch an anvil,” or my favorite, “Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.”
