OK, it’s very hot in Montana. Temperatures today in several cities were over 100 degrees. It looks like it will be this way for a week or more. Days like this that make me believe a little more in global warming.
Luckily, I have a basement that my wife refers to as my “Man Cave.” Before the hot weather hit Montana, it was known as the family room.
The Man Cave has almost all the amenities that a man could wish for: A 32 inch TV with cable and satellite, stereo, DVD/VCR, Laz-E-Boy chairs, couch, computer, bathroom, fan, and a freezer where you can get your beer really cold and keep your ice cream frozen hard.
As an inhabitant of the Man Cave, I never really have to venture out because everything I need is in the cave. From my Man Cave I surf the TV channels and when I cruise by the Weather Channel, I see the temperature is 102 degrees. Must be tough out there.
While the outdoor temperature is over 100 degrees, here deep down inside the Man Cave, it’s about 75 degrees and with a nice breeze from the fan.
There are other inhabitants of this house that want to share the Man Cave with me. I told them they could come down for a visit, but they have to bring me a sandwich and more importantly, I control the remote.
They agreed.

Having been a guest in the Man Cave many years back, I have to agree it is quite the prime location during these century days. I have a ventilation duct in need of repair, and right now all it does is dump frigid air from the AC right into the family room, keeping it at a comfy 60 degrees during this heatwave. A nice place to visit for sure!
