Be very afraid because Congress is back in session this week after their Fourth of July vacation.
It looks like the Democrats will work on the Iraq war issue some more. Little by little, the Democrats are getting traction, but they need help from the Republicans to pass some meaningful legislation. At least they are talking about it more in the administration. I predict we’ll see a change in the Iraq mission sometime before September.
I blogged about what I think will happen on this issue, politically HERE.
It appears the Democratic marching orders for the Fourth of July recess was to talk about the Iraq War and soften up the constituency a little for the post recess fight.
Then, there are some people in the Democratic Party calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney. I think they are also looking to impeach Barney, the first dog, too.
Cindy Sheehan may run as an independent in 2008 against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, if Pelosi does not start impeachment proceedings against Bush. Could Sheehan win? I doubt it because Pelosi usually wins her district by very large margins.
As the temperature rises across the nation, we’ll see the heat hit all-time highs in Washington, D.C., this month.
Meanwhile, our military personnel carry-on…
