Olbermann goes off…

Tonight on MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Keith called for President Bush and Vice President Cheney to resign for about a hundred reasons in a 10 minute “Special Comment”

First of all, I like Keith Olbermann. Many times, he presents the opposite side of the issues from O’Reilly, Hannity and Colmes, and Rush Limbaugh. Keith makes you think and he makes it fun. Also, Jack the Blogger (JTB) likes to hear both sides so I flip back and forth between Countdown and the O’Reilly Factor. Recently my TV is stuck on Countdown a little more than O’Reilly.

O’Reilly usually wins the time slot and by a large margin. This may be changing.

One thing for sure, Keith won’t be completely happy until the Democrats control the White House and both houses of Congress. He’s got two-thirds now, but he wants more.

The issue that put Keith over the top was the commuting of Scooter Libby’s jail time. Keith used the words of the immortal John Wayne, who was a conservative when JFK beat Nixon in 1960, “I didn’t vote for him but he’s my president, and I hope he does a good job.”

This quote rings true today. I think most people would agree that politics and the gotcha tactics used in our government today have ruined our Government and the way it works.

One thing is very clear; Keith Olbermann is the Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity of the left. Since his show has leaned further left from where it first started, he has cemented himself as the new voice of the Democrats.

Sign him up for a radio show, other than “The Big Show with Dan and Keith” on ESPN Radio. Second, let’s see Keith and Bill-O debate for a charity on pay per view.

In closing, some of Keith’s points are far beyond what I believe, but I respect them. I predict the President and the Vice President won’t resign, but that’s just a hunch.
