Yes, I watch it and I am not from Cleveland or San Antonio. Although the NBA playoffs are like a whole new (long) season, the conference finals and the NBA finals are worth watching if you’re a basketball fan.
Tonight is the biggest game of the year (in history?) for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They must win game three to even have a chance to win the championship. It’s also a big game for the Spurs (but not as big).
With the format of the NBA finals (First two games at the Spurs, next three at the Cavs, and the last two at the Spurs) it was imperative that the Spurs held serve at home. It is also important for the Spurs to take a game from Cleveland at Cleveland because you don’t want them to have a three game winning streak heading back to San Antonio.
The San Antonio Spurs hold a 2-0 lead and they have basically had their way with the Cavs. But, the Cavs showed some life at the end of the games and cut large deficits down to just a few points before losing.
Look for Cleveland to come out and grab an early lead tonight on the emotion from playing at home and hosting an NBA finals game. But, look for San Antonio not to get rattled and chip away at the lead. This may be the most competitive game of the series so far. As long as Cleveland does not get up by more than 30 points, look for it to be close at the end.
The Cavs have not found an answer for Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. They must hold one of these players to single digits to win. Parker is playing the best I’ve ever seen.
The Cavs’ LeBron James has had his moments, but Bruce Bowen has done a great job defending him.
Jack’s prediction: The Spurs will win this series 4-1.

4-1. I like it!>>>Nice post. Hoping we can steal this game 3. But not holding my breath, the adrenalin and electricity at the Q are going to be off the charts for the first timers…could get out of hand for the Spurs like game 3 vs Utah. Have to wait and see. >>Jeremy in SA!
