No Confidence

The attempt by Senate Democrats to have a vote of no confidence of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales failed today. The Democrats needed 60 votes to bring S. J. RES. 14 to a vote and it failed 53-38.
Montana’s U.S. Senators, Max Baucus and Jon Tester, were both part of the 53 Senators voting Yea, which was not a surprise.
S. J. RES. 14 states, “It is the sense of the Senate that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales no longer holds the confidence of the Senate and of the American people.”
This really was a waste of time. So far, the 110th Congress has done a lot of time wasting in the first six months.
I think the American people are getting a little sick and tired of their lack of productivity. In 2008 we, the American People, may tell them that we have no confidence in them.

  1. As much as the policy of the 110th Congress has ranged from silly to terrible…I’d rather they were wasting time.
