It looks like U.S. Senator Max Baucus, D-Mont., is again having problems with his core supporters.
A week ago a group called “Progressive Democrats of Montana” was formed in Montana and their leader stated, “We have had concern over where Max has been on the issues.” Here’s the STORY in case you missed it.
According to this STORY, another liberal group made up of labor leaders and liberal activists is airing some ads in Montana against Baucus because they want him to oppose giving President Bush renewed power to try to speed trade deals through Congress.
The group is called “They Work for Us” and they are an independent 501(c)(4) organization.
“Democrats who vote against the interests of their constituents better find another day job.”
Ouch.
Max is in a pickle with his core supporters. Do we smell a primary election challenge? The person who challenges Max must have name recognition. Who will it be?
But, this is just a bump in the road for Max. If your friends can’t be honest with you who can?
