Well, the old Chiefs just never really got it going this year. At 7-7 they still have a chance to make the playoffs, kind of like the chance Lloyd Christmas had in the movie, Dumb and Dumber:

Lloyd Christmas: What are the chances of a guy like you and a girl like me…ending up together?
Mary Swanson: Not good.
Lloyd Christmas: You mean not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary Swanson: I’d say more like one in a million.[a long sad pause]
Lloyd Christmas: So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Yeah! I read ya.

Kansas City last made the playoffs in 2004, losing to Indy in their first game 38-31. I don’t think there were hardly any punts during that game. I believe the Chiefs had a bye in the first round. They last won a playoff game in 1994. They won the Superbowl in 1970 (1969 Season).
So, what I am getting at is the Chiefs are not really that good of a team. Will Herm Edwards get them to the playoffs?
If the Chiefs cannot get into the playoffs this year, the team I would like to see make it to the Superbowl is the San Diego Chargers. I like Marty. I like Donnie Edwards and LT is class act.
