Kansas City Chiefs 31 Denver Broncos 27

I must admit that as a fan of Kansas City Chiefs, I hate the Denver Broncos. I dislike Mike Shanahan and Jake Plummer stinks as a QB. I also hated John Elway when he was the QB, but I respect him now.
Admittingly, these three folks are probably pretty nice people in real life.
The Chiefs beat the Broncos on Sunday at Arrowhead in Kansas City. If you are a very great team, then you can win at Arrowhead. If you are not, then you lose like the Broncos did. Arrowhead is the toughest place to play in the NFL.
Larry Johnson (LJ) carried the ball 30 times for 140 yards. I am still not sold on LJ as a complete NFL player. During the most important play of the game (4th Quarter, 4:06 to go) it was 3rd and 1 yard to go. Johnson took himself out of the game and his replacement, Dee Brown, lost two yards on the next carry. Two things should have happened here: Johnson stays in or the Chiefs call a time out to get Johnson a breather.
Anyway, the Chiefs prevailed. They must now play the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas then travel to New York and play the Giants. The last two games are at home against the Chargers and the Bengals. If the Chiefs make it to the playoffs this year, they will have earned it and be battle tested. The field is wide open as Denver is now in reach, the Steelers are reeling plus the Chiefs have their offensive line back (Willie Roaf), and their defense is getting better each week.
I am still impressed with Trent Green. When he has time, he is the best.
HOW ‘BOUT THOSE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!!
