Buffalo 14 Kansas City 3

Ouch! This one hurt. The Chiefs offense did not show up on Sunday in Buffalo. Trent Green was intercepted three times and fumbled once. The O-Line did not give him any time to set up and throw. Larry Johnson had 132 yards on the ground (100 in the first half) and five catches, but the Chiefs could not protect Trent Green in the pocket and he was sacked SIX times. Tony Gonzalez set a team career record for receiving yards. He passed the great Otis Taylor and now has 7,362 receiving yards as a Chief.
The Chiefs fall to 5-4.
The Chiefs defense against the run was tough again. They gave up 66 yards for the entire game on the ground. But the Chiefs’ secondary again showed they have problems. Eric Warfield was burned twice on pass routes for TDs and that hurt.
Next up is the 1-8 Houston Texans on Sunday night in Texas. This is a MUST WIN. We need this victory as the rest of the season is against winning teams: Patriots, Broncos, Cowboys, Giants, Chargers and Bengals. Four of the last six are at home – which is the good news. We need Willie Roaf back as his leadership is needed on the O-Line.
Oh where oh where is the offense from 2003-2004 gone?
Could this be Dick Vermeil’s last year? I can’t see him sticking around if the Chiefs don’t make the playoffs.

  1. The Boys are looking good for a win tonight! Eagles are struggling on and off the field and McNabb can’t hit a bus. If any of you are gamblers tonights a lock for the Cowboys. Have any of you heard of http://www.statshark.com ? They have a free prediction on tonights game from their sports forecasting machine. The thing is great. I went 8-1 this sunday!
