The Chiefs got their butts whipped! The game was not even close. Denver held the home field advantage and took it to the Chiefs.
The Chiefs had 118 yards in penalties to make it even easier for the Broncos, who only were flagged for 30 yards.
Samie Parker needs to step it up a notch or be benched. He dropped a couple easy balls Monday night. On the first drive he was wide open and dropped it. Please coach, give Chris Horn some more reps.
The Chiefs “new” defense gave up 221 yards on the ground. Jake Plummer looked like Dan Marino most of the night (he’s not) while passing for 152 yards on 18 attempts. It looked like he could have had a 300 game easy.
The Chiefs need to get it together before the next big game against the Eagles this Sunday. I look for the Chiefs to come out and kick some feathers.
I said in a previous post that if the Chiefs were 2-2 after the first month, I’d take it. It is a tough schedule out of the gate, but we are OK. Plus, out of the last six games, the Chiefs have four at home, including the last two. Denver has four out of the last six on the road. San Diego has three at home and three away as do the Raiders.
As for the Denver fans, you get to come to “OUR HOUSE” on December 4. That game may be more important than the third game of the season. Time will tell…..

I know Vermiel didn’t want to hear it, but Champ Bailey was right; the Chiefs just didn’t play that hard. That was very surprising considering that a) it was against the Broncos and b) it was Monday Night. Still, the West is gonna be a dogfight all the way to the end.
