In 1976 or 77, at a very young age, I saw my first REO Speedwagon concert. At that time, I decided that REO would be my band (doesn’t every teenager have a favorite band??). So from that point on, I tried to attend every REO concert I could.

Now, several years later and with many REO concerts under my belt (14?), I will get to see REO Speedwagon in concert once again with my son on September 14 in Billings at the MetraPark. Styx is also touring with REO on this swing through the west.

In 2004, we traveled to Kellogg, Idaho, to see REO at Silver Mountain. What a great experience to ride a gondola (3.1 miles) up the moutain and hear a great concert outdoors and party with the local folks.

Of course, I have collected all the REO “stuff” (t-shirts, hats, buttons, stickers) over the years and have many of their vinyl records plus many CDs and videos.

Look for a new album from REO sometime in the Spring of 2006.
