Welcome to Monday and another week! Have no fear – The Western Word (TWW) will be with you each and every day providing you with that independent commentary you’ve come to love and enjoy! We’ll get through this week together, I promise.
If you are a new visitor to TWW, “Monday Morning Politics” is where I put together several of the political stories from the past weekend all in one place for your reading pleasure. I also offer some commentary about these stories often laced with just a little snarkiness…
Today I write about new ballot instructions, HD 18, write-in candidate, Tester critiques Obama, Mom’s lessons, a new video, women candidates, Olszewski visits DC, no production, Newsweek cover, Lieutenant Dan, Bush in Montana, and much more!
Note: The Jim Lynch for Montana Governor Campaign forwarded their February newsletter to me via my Western Word e-mail – it’s worth the read.

It is FRIDAY! Once again we’ve made it to another glorious weekend. Congratulations! With the temperatures hitting about 33 degrees last night here at my place in Montana, it’s time to get the yards and the gardens ready for that long winter’s nap. Yuck.
If this is your first time visiting, this Friday column called “Caught My Eye” is designed to help you make it through another Friday – and let you hit the weekend with a smile on your face and armed with knowledge! This is the 65th straight week of Caught My Eye!
In this week’s edition of Caught My Eye, I write about fundraising, new candidates, the right stuff, a cartoon, I let you see inside my political inbox, I write about a bartender, and much more! Continue reading →
Happy Friday – we made it again! Summer vacations are winding down and school starts soon – what a freaking bummer – but we do have about three weekends left before “the end.”
For the new folks, Caught My Eye is the (almost) award-winning weekly column where I take a look at some of the stories I did not have time to write about during the week. I offer some brief comments about the stories and sometimes add just a touch of sarcasm!
This week I talk about the Iowa debate, the Downpour Music Festival, I check the e-mails in my political inbox, I comment about rural air service, talk about the supercommittee and much more! So please read on… Continue reading →
