Politics 2012: “Like”

With campaign season in full swing, it is fun to see how the candidates, their supporters, and their opponents are using social media sites, like Facebook, to get their message out.

We see the normal “Women for XXXX” and “Veterans for XXXX” “Students for XXXX” plus there are Facebook pages for several local and state-wide candidates just waiting for you to “Like” them – so get out there and explore!

Listed below are a few sites that I found interesting:

Dogs Against Romney” states that they are about “Educating the public about Romney’s treatment of his pet.”  This site has 43,486 likes.  They proudly say they are a “Super Pack.”  They provide a link to a website that has the story about Romney’s “dog on the car roof” vacation story.  Continue reading

More Flexibility

It’s been interesting to see the responses to the comments made by President Barack Obama to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev regarding America’s Missile Defense.

I really don’t think the sky is falling, but the remarks did give the Republicans something to raise money on, so be on the lookout for e-mails from the GOP telling us about “secret plots” by Obama for his second term.  We might even see the GOP send us e-mails saying that Obama will be calling us “comrade” if he wins a second term – and look for the 1984 film “Red Dawn” make a comeback this summer!  Wolverines!!!
