Breaking: Rehberg Comments about Air Guard Losing F-15s

Sad news: The jets are leaving the Air Guard; being replaced by four C-27s according to Congressman Denny Rehberg.

From the Rehberg Press Office:

Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today released the following statement after he was informed by General Norton Schwartz, Air Force Chief of Staff that the Montana Air National Guard (MANG) will lose its F-15 mission and receive four C-27J twin turboprop aircraft.

“The news that our Air Guard landed a C-27J mission is overshadowed by the loss of our F-15s. Montana keeps trading horses, and each time, we’re a little closer to the ground. Montanans are proud of our contributions to national defense and the hard work and excellent operations run out of MANG. I’ll keep working with Max and Jon to do everything we can to make this as painless to the community as possible. Now is certainly not the best time to be losing jobs in Montana, and it’s possible that by working together we may be able to recover some of the lost jobs with a new Red Horse squadron or a border security mission.”
