Catching on

Voters are starting to figure out that an Obama/Biden administration will raise your taxes. Joe the Plumber helped Americans see that Obama will spread the wealth around because he thinks that’s good for everybody. So all the actual working people will have to work just a little harder for their families…and the families down the street.

Of course, Obama will give that money to folks who don’t even pay taxes. That may be a sweet deal for them, but not for the working folks.

Cheap, but predictable

It looks like the Montana Democrats are up to their old tricks these last few weeks of the 2008 campaign season. I can’t wait to see what they do the final week.

The Montana Democrats are having their people call voters and saying untrue and nasty things about Republican candidates. The Montana Democrats admitted they were doing it, too.

The Democrats believe that when you can’t win on the issues, you lie about your opponent, distort their record, and tear them down with unfounded statements.

A funny thing happened the other night when one of these Democrat-paid callers phoned my house. We’ve received about 10-12 polling calls so far this election season. The caller was gently promoting (push polling) a Democrat for state senate. They had a lot of nice things to say about him. I listened and answered their questions and finally told them I favored the Republican candidate. The most interesting thing about that phone call was the Democrat state senate candidate they were promoting had lost in the primary – he was not even on the ballot for the General Election.
